Re:Vitalise | Sin an Enemy to Righteousness

Updated: Jan 15

Sin consciousness is defined to be continually aware of your unworthiness, guilt, sin, past failures and inferiority.

Sin came through the fall when man became a partaker of spiritual death.

And they were naked, and they fastened fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool [afternoon breeze] of the day, so the man and his wife hid and kept themselves hidden from the presence of the LORD God“Then the eyes of the two of them were opened [that is, their awareness increased], and they knew that they among the trees of the garden.”

Genesis 3:7-8 AMP

Adam lost his God-consciousness and gained self-consciousness; sin gives birth to two things: guilt and inferiority.

The sense of condemnation has given to a man an inferiority complex.

“Now all the people witnessed the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the smoking mountain; and as they looked, the people were afraid, and they trembled [and moved backward] and stood at a [safe] distance. Then they said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen, but do not let God speak to us or we will die.” Exodus 20:18-19 AMP

Sin robs us of our faith in God and the Bible, and it holds man in bondage to the enemy.

Sin consciousness is a significant reason for spiritual failures, and it strips believers of their sense of legal right to stand in the presence of God without condemnation.

Sin consciousness robs us of our fellowship and communion with our Father.

1. He’s called unrighteous

2. He’s called darkness

3. He’s called Satan

4. He’s spiritually in union with God’s enemy

5. He has no right approach to God and knows he is not worthy enough to pray and have his prayers answered, so if he does pray, it is a prayer of desperation.

1. He/She has never grown beyond the stage of babyhood

2. He/She is still carnal, ruled by the fleshly desires (1 Cor 3:1-3)

3. He/She doesn’t know their right and privileges in Christ.

1. You lose God's consciousness and gain self-consciousness.

A. You begin to see yourself from the natural standpoint

B. You become more aware of the natural realm and the things you can do, rather than the spiritual realm and the God-given abilities He’s already given you

2. You look to natural remedies to correct the wrong without seeking the throne of God.

A. Prayer is the last resort when it should be the first point of call and as part of your lifestyle (2 Corinthians 5:7)

B. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and right standing that He has already delivered you into.

(Matthew 6:33; Ephesians 1:3; Romans 5:2)

3.You’re afraid to approach the Father boldly.

A. This results in always trying to get somebody else to pray with you and be the ‘mediator’ between you and God.

B. ‘Let us come with boldness into the throne room. ( Hebrews 4:16; Phil 4:6)

4. You live in fear of God, man or satan

A. God - “I will be a Father to you,And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty.”

‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

B. Man - “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans‬ ‭8:31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

C. Satan- “You are of God, little children, and have overcome thema because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

‭‭I John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Man has a highly developed sin consciousness; a sense of unworthiness that dominates him.

There can never be any fellowship with the Father until man can stand in his presence without a guilty conscience, sin, or inferiority.

These problems escalate because believers don’t operate on the level of righteous- consciousness that they should.

What do you believe?

#Christianity is the life of #God (the Creator) in human beings (that's us). What this means, practically, is that each day, you take steps to get to know this God, through His Word, the Bible (https://classic.biblegateway.com) the same way when a baby is born, in fact, from the moment you "know" that you are pregnant, you spend time getting to know the baby, letting them know that each day

I ask you, then, would you like to be in a relationship with #God, the God of the Bible, the God that made this beautiful earth, through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

The God that gave Jesus Christ to us:

This the WHAT

John 3:16-18 The Message (MSG)

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him."**

And we (using #faith, a bit like #electricity, we know it's there because the lights come on) accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and get to know Him each day, as we would our own dear friends, loved ones, a spouse.

This is the WHY

Hebrews 2:3-4

"It’s crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we’ve heard so that we don’t drift off. If the old message delivered by the angels was valid and nobody got away with anything, do you think we can risk neglecting this latest message, this magnificent salvation? First of all, it was delivered in person by the Master, then accurately passed on to us by those who heard it from him. All the while God was validating it with gifts through the Holy Spirit, all sorts of signs and miracles, as he saw fit."**

In exchange for following Jesus you will receive peace, freedom, joy (that's laughter whilst your awake, peace whilst you sleep), it will be hard, your friends may disown you because you've become "one of us" but guess what even if you have a tough day, you will never be alone again.

Read this prayer along with me:

This is your YES

"Lord Jesus, thank You for giving Your life for me and forgiving me of my sins so I can have a personal relationship with You. I am sincerely sorry for the mistakes I've made, and I know I need You to help me live right.

Your Word says in Romans 10:9, "If you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

I believe You are the Son of God, and I confess You as my Saviour and Lord. Take me just as I am, and work in my heart, making me the person You want me to be. I want to live for You, Jesus, and I am so grateful to You for giving me a fresh start in my new life with You today. I love you, Jesus!"**
