How can we, as teaching mums, fit reading for pleasure, into our day???
Here are 3 tips!
Tip #1
Reading does not have to take place in a quiet space, download a free book app to your device (ibooks, GLL) and use some of your daily commute to read for 10 minutes. This will help to kick start your day, keep you calm and relaxed BEFORE you go into a busy school.
Tip #2
Use your brain and voice break during the day (tea break, lunch break, pre-staff meeting) OR if you are on holiday, use nap time (for little ones) to slip in 10 minutes of reading, aim to read something in hard copy form, to give your eyes a break from the screen.
Tip #3
AFTER 7pm, when you are practising your 10 minutes of silence, build in 10 minutes of reading, it will help you to fall asleep, forget the troubles of the day and most of all RELAX.
